Ojai Wine Festival

Hello everyone!

It’s been awhile since I have updated my blog and I am finally back to update you guys with all my adventures! I hope that you have been able to follow thru with my Instagram 🙂 This past weekend I had the honor to visit beautiful Ojai in Ventura county. This was their 32nd annual festival and they have donated a percentage of the festivals’ proceeds to the Thomas Fire relief efforts.

This was my first time visiting Ojai to begin with and honestly the drive was so beautiful, it was so great to get away from the city life 🙂

This event started at noon and when we arrived at 1130am, there were already a long line! I already knew that this festival was going to be huge with the amount of cars and people that were lined up before the event starting.

Ojai Wine Festival had over 60 wineries, 35 craft breweries, a selection of local restaurants, fine artisan vendors, silent auction, fine crystal souvenir wine glass and blues music. I had no expectations except that we were going to be drinking a lot of wine!

When we entered we were greeted with one of my all time faves Barefoot wine bar and started our day with Rose’s. Then you will find people from all over who brought chairs and picnic items to lay out and to enjoy the day in the sun with their friends and families! I wish that we knew of this before so that we came prepared as well. I guess next time we can definitely do that!

When we entered the VIP lounge we were able to find some local restaurants who prepared light snacks and bites while Stella Artois gave out a glass of beer in their lovely glasses! While enjoying our meals we ran into some Ojai natives. These ladies were so informative of the neighborhood and that they have been attending this wine festival for the past 10 years. They love the festival but they wished that the growing festival was a little bit more regulated so that the Ojai natives can enjoy the original wine festival feel (when it was smaller). It is great that the families of Ojai cherish this festival and that they come back every year for years!

After enjoying our meal we walked around and tried different wines. They also have food trucks and a stage where music is performed. It was so great to see families lay in the sun with a glass of wine in hand and enjoy the day in general!

Before leaving we stopped by this wine booth that was from Ojai. Topa Mountain Winery had their hand crafted wine and it was more of a lighter taste which I really enjoyed. Coming from a light weight (alcohol) background, this wine was very easy to drink and I definitely wanted to check it out after. Hopefully I will get a chance to visit their winery soon so I can learn more about them! Oh, and it would be another opportunity for me to come back to the beautiful neighborhood.

Overall I had a very great experience at the 32nd Annual Ojai Wine Festival. I would definitely come back next year with my blanket and chair in hand and hopefully will be able to enjoy another day under the sun ❤

Thank you Ojai for having us, and congratulations on another successful event!
